DHUMC(Daegu Haany University Medical Center), single oriental medical center of university in Daegu province, is equipped with the educational facilities for the students as well as with the clinical examinations for the residents. It comprises the Jehan Dongeui Institute for the study of the principle and the clinic of oriental medicine and the Herbal Biotechnology Center for the cooperative development of new technology and new products. In particular, the palsy clinic has the rehabilitation center and the palsy examination center for

preventive medicine and preliminary treatment. Employees of Hyundai Motors, Korean leading car-maker, have got a regular examination at the DHUMC.

GOMH(Gumi Oriental Medical Hospital of Daegu Haany University) has opened in the digital high technological city to expand the medical benefits to the middle area of Gyeongbuk. GOMH was the first in the region to combine the oriental and western health examination. The specialized palsy and fatness clinics are available there. GOMH contributes to the regional medical development through the cooperative systems with the local companies including Hyundai Electronics and LG Telecom by reflecting the regional features.

POMH(Pohang Oriental Medical Hospital of Daegu Haany University) established 8 specialty medical studies, including a palsy clinic, and the expansion of free medical practice (or examination) in the East Sea region of Northern Gyeongbuk province. It consists of structures that have traditional interior designs and comfortable familiarity, in order to solely focus on patient well-being. It has also been selected for the”øHealth Tour to Korea”¹, to participate in the health-tourism project, led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and of Culture and

Tourism, as the appointed hospital. Moreover, taking allowance for the distinct characteristics of the region, it has become the center of studies for illnesses resulting from industrial disasters. It is the appointed medical organization of Posco, the representing corporation of the region.

The main library is located at the Science and Information Center on the area of approx. 5,016m. It is composed of the reading rooms with 1,201 seats, digital electro-library, extraordinary documents' room, oriental medical books' room, special documents' room and the annexed Daegu Oriental Medical Library. It possesses various domestic and foreign volumes and journals, video and audio tapes, general CD-ROMs, educational CD-ROMS and internet accessible foreign databases.

The Oriental Medical Library and Archeological Historic Library of the museum possess about 700 books and archives respectively for the oriental medicine. About 70 remains excavated from the historic places of Daegu and Gyeongbuk since 1995 are exhibited as well.
